Land Acknowledgment
We would like to take a moment to acknowledge the land we are living on - land that was stolen from Indigenous people by settler-colonialists and later the American government and its people. Indigenous people are still here, taking care of their communities and fighting to keep them safe. The Journey Theatre Project is Brooklyn, NY based, land of the Canarsie band of the Lenape people. Learn more below about the land you are on below.
Let’s go on a journey together!
Journey Theatre Project’s signature workshop series Necessary Conversations leads organizations and communities toward becoming anti-racist. What sets our workshops apart, is the use of applied theatre strategies including critical dialogue, creative reflection and embodying action. Each workshop offers multiple opportunities for participants to engage with their own experience and grow through conversation with others.

““You brought us all in with such intentionality and the perfect mix of firmness and kindness. I didn’t arrive expecting myself to be in the center of the action, but before I knew it, there I was confronting my own assumptions!” ”
